OFA at the Innovation Housing Showcase!
The Opportunity Funds Association (OFA) is an advocacy, education, and communications organization established to enable its members to participate in public policy, share best practices, and articulate and publicize the industry’s contributions to distressed rural and urban communities across the country.
OFA helps connect opportunity funds to investors and promotes their successes to local communities and on Capitol Hill.
OFA is the only member-driven 501(c)(6) trade association exclusively for qualified opportunity funds, their parent companies, preferred service providers, and the communities they serve.
Communications
OFA will serve as the leading voice for Opportunity Funds, vigorously defending their value while highlighting their positive impacts to policy makers, stakeholders, and the media.
Federal Advocacy
OFA has a robust presence on Capitol Hill, targeting the House of Representatives’ Ways & Means Committee and the Senate Finance committee. Our efforts focus on expanding and extending the Opportunity Zone legislation and educating policy makers on Opportunity Zones’ impact on local communities.
Networking
OFA facilitates meetings and networking opportunities among opportunity funds, community/neighborhood leaders, and industry stakeholders to help identify community-based projects and educate stakeholders and OZ beneficiaries about the OZ program and opportunities.
Policy Formulation
OFA develops and maintains several policy committees to provide a forum for members to collaborate and develop policy positions and advocacy opportunities. The association establishes guardrails and compliance metrics to ensure the highest level of social impact.
